- The acceptance of the application will not be completed until the admission fee
is paid electronically.
- You should be responsible for all matters resulting from your ID and Password
being disclosed to the public due to your mistake, missing input, and mistyping.
- You may not apply for two different programs at the same time within the
general graduate school of this university.

not be selected for admission and their admission fee will be returned.
Ⅲ Applicant‘s qualifications for admission
□ Eligibility
- Applicants, including their parents, who have foreign nationality
- Applicants who have a bachelor's degree or a master's degree including those
who are expected to have one
□ Language Requirements (The applicant should satisfy one of the following language criteria.)
- 530 or higher on TOEFL PBT, 197 or higher on TOEFL CBT, 71 or higher on TOEFL iBT
- 5.5 or higher on IELTS
- B2 or higher on CEFR
- 600 or higher on TEPS
- 700 or higher on TOEIC
- Level 4 or higher on TOPIK
- Confirmation letter for scholastic ability from a prospective advisor of the
department of the graduate school you are applying to.
※ Those who have nationality of the countries where English is used as a native
language or a legal official language can be waived from taking the English
proficiency test by submitting their documentary evidence (such as diploma)
that they have completed secondary or higher education.

〇 Applicant who submit a Confirmation letter for scholastic ability must submit
one of the following before graduation.
- Level 4 or higher on TOPIK

□ Instructions regarding submitting required documents
- All required documents necessary for an application for admission should be
submitted in the form of original copy.
- All certificates issued from abroad should be accompanied by their notarized
translation if they are not in Korean or in English.
- In the case of the transcript and diploma (certificate of expected graduation)
of a foreign university, one of the following verifications should be submitted:
‧ a verification by means of Apostille issued by the government of your
academic background
‧ a verification by the Korean consul at the country of your academic
background or by the consul at the official residence in Korea
‧ In the case of an applicant who is a graduate from Chinese high school, use
the one from China Qualification Verification (CQV) run by the Ministry of
Education of the People's Republic of China.
- The certificate of family relationships should show the relationships between
the applicant and parents. If the relationships are not shown due to death or
divorce, related certificates are additionally required.
- If necessary, additional documents may be required and all submitted documents
will not be returned to the applicant.
□ Instructions regarding submitting an Apostille certificate>
〇 The Apostille Convention: In order to make mutual certification easier among
the signatories, this multilateral treaty specifies the modalities through
which a document
issued in one of the signatory countries can be certified for legal purposes
in all the
other signatory states.
〇 The target documents of the Apostille certificate: documents issued by the
foreign government organization and documents notarized by the notary.
- Documents issued by the foreign government organization: certificates of
family relationships, transcripts issued by the national and public school, etc.
- Notarized documents: certificates issued by the private school, medical
certificates, documents issued by a company or bank, etc.
※ Limited to the signatory countries of Apostille Convention (In the case of the
countries that have not signed the convention, submit with the confirmation of a consul.)
〇 How to get an Apostille certificate: With regard to the various kinds of
documents issued by a foreign school, request an Apostille at the government
organization of the concerned school and get a copy o f the certificate

Screening process and admission fee
□ Screening process
- By examining the applicant's documents such as research plan and cover letter
(self-introduction), we evaluate the applicant's aptitude for their major area
and scholastic ability to see if he/she is qualified.
□ Admission fee: 30,000 KRW
- Pay th admission fee when submitting an application(The application will not be
accepted until it is paid electronically.)
- Reasons for the admission fee refund: In accordance with higher education act
enforcement ordinance, if there is money left over with regard to revenue and
expenditure, it is scheduled to be refunded. (In which case, the cost for
using the computer network of the financial institution will be deducted and
if the total cost for using the computer network of the financial institution
is more than the amount of refund, it won't be refunded.)

name of the bank when submitting an application.

overseas journal as SCI, SCIE, SSCI, SCOPUS and National Research Foundation of
Korea.
- Amount awarded: Full tuition

‧ Those who passed level 5 or higher on TOPIK: One upcoming semester from the date
of acquiring the certificate.
‧ Thesis publisher in SCI, SCIE, SSCI: Two upcoming semesters from the date of
acquiring the certificate.
‧ Thesis publisher in SCOPUS, NRF: One upcoming semester from the date of
acquiring the certificate.
- Limitations on award:
‧ The scholarship for those who passed level 5 or higher on TOPIK can apply one time
(for one semester) and be awarded during enrollment.
‧ The scholarship for those who published a thesis can apply and be awarded for 2
times (2 thesis) during enrollment.
※ Same kind of thesis can be applied duplicately.

- We will select the boarders from the new students who signed up for dormitory
both on an on-demand basis and on a fixed-time basis.
